His career as chef started with jobs like commis chef at the Roxbury House Hotel and then he began running the kitchen and 60-seat dining room at the Wickham Arms.
In 1993 he became head chef at La Tante Claire in Chelsea.
After five years he opened his own restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hospital Road.
Soon he was extending all over the world, and now he owns Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's, Gordon Ramsay at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, The Savoy Grill , Banquette at the Savoy Grill and many others.
In May 2005 he started being the host of Hell's Kitchen on FOX and in October 2007 started appearing on Kitchen Nightmares.

amsay and now the couple has four children: Megan, Holly and Jack who are twins and Matilda.
Between 1982 and 1985 he was a professional football player at Glasgow Rangers FC.
