Glenn Ford

Gwyllym Samuel Newton (1916-2006) was a Canadian actor, active in Hollywood during the 1940s-1960s.
Short Biography:
Usually cast as the tough but good-natured hero, he was equally at home in westerns, thrillers, and comedies.
His films include Gilda in 1946, The Big Heat in 1953, and Dear Heart in 1965.
