At first he wanted to become a doctor and trained for this purpose. Then abandoned it and wanted to be a photographer.
His career continued and he became a window dresser in a department store, La Rinascente.
Between 1961 and 1970 he was the designer of Nino Cerruti fashion house.
Since 1974 he and his partner Sergio Galeotti established Giorgio Armani S.p.A. with a menswear label.
In the 1980’s he achieved success and was tailoring for numerous Hollywood names.
Year after year his name became more important in the fashion world and today is one of the most appreciated fashion designers.
