His career continued and he became a window dresser in a department store, La Rinascente.
Between 1961 and 1970 he was the designer of Nino Cerruti fashion house.
Since 1974 he and his partner Sergio Galeotti established Giorgio Armani S.p.A. with a menswear label.
In the 1980's he achieved success and was tailoring for numerous Hollywood names.
