Gina Carano was born on April 16, 1982, in Dallas, Texas. She is the daughter of former football player Glenn Carano. She is a student o Psychology from the University of Nevada. In the meantime, her sister, Casey, was undergoing substance abuse treatment. While at Nevada, she enrolled in Muay Thai for half a year. After her training period, the fighter Gina was born.
After the recovery of Casey, she left her studies and took up fighting as a full time career. She won 12 of her first 14 fights. She participated in the MMA in 2006 and won against Leticia Pestova at Orleans Arena. Later on she won against Rosi Sexton. In 2007, Julie Kedzie and Tonya Evinger took heavy battering from Gina Carano in EliteXC on Showtime. Following her victories, she was offered the spot of a coach in Fight

In 2008, her win against Kaitlin Young in MMA was almost canceled as she didn’t comply with MMA’s weight standards. This brought Gina Carano to E:60. She was soon a hit on the internet.

She also appeared on TV with her participation in American Gladiator. She also appeared in the movie Blood and Bone alongside Michael Jai White.
