Gillian Anderson (birth name Gillian Leigh Anderson) was born on August 9, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois, USA and is a very popular actress.
Biography and Career:
Her parents are Edward and Rosemary Anderson and besides her they have a boy and a girl, Aaron and Zoe Anderson.
Between 1970 and 1979 she had lived in London and then her family moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan.
She had attended the City High School, Grand Rapids, Michigan and the Goodman Theater School of Drama at DePaul University in Chicago.
As an actress she became famous when she played the role of FBI Agent Dana Scully in the television series “The X-Files” and then as Lady Dedlock in the television series “Bleak House”.
Besides these two she appeared in “The Mighty Celt”, “A Cock and Bull Story”, “Prin
cess Mononoke”, “The Vagina Monologues”, “The Last King of Scotland” or “Straightheads”.
She also used her voice in video games like The X Files: Resist or Serve, Hellbender and The X Files Game.
On the 1st of January 1994 she married Clyde Klotz, but after three years the couple was divorced. They have one child, Piper Anderson, who was born on the 25th of September 1994.
In December 2004 she married Julian Ozanne, but now they are separated.
In 2003 she received the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Best Actress Award.
