Giancarlo Fisichella was born on January 14, 1973 in Rome, Italy. He is a well known Formula One racing driver.

Biography and Career :

When he was a child he started kart racing and in 1992 moved to the Italian Formula Three series where he competed for the RC Motorsport team. In 1994 he won the championship there.

In 1995 he was racing in the International Touring Car Championship series for Alfa Romeo. In the next year he moved to Formula One and was the driver of Minardi team.

In 1997 he was racing for Eddie Jordan's eponymous team and was the winner of the Canadian Grand Prix. After one year he moved to Benetton team and won the second place at Montreal and Monaco.

In 2002 he came back to Jordan and after one year he was the winner at the Brazilian Grand Prix. He changed his team again and in 2004 signed with Sauber.

In 2006 he won the race in Malaysia and since 2007 he is the driver of Renault. Until (2007) now he won three races, had three pole positions and eighteen podium finishes. He is very talented and still has a long way ahead.
