Giada De Laurentiis is tv personality and an italian writter born on August 22, 1970 in Rome, Italy. She is the daughther of the actress Veronica De Laurentiis and her first husband Alex De Benedetti. After they divorced Giada got mother's surname and movied to Southern California.
Her grandparents are the producers movie stars Dino De Laurentiis and Silviana Mangano.
She has a make-up artist sister and Hollywood editor brothers.
She graduated Marymount High School and went to the University of California, Los Angeles. On May 2003 she married the fashion designer Todd Thompson. Their first child was born on March 29, 2008.
She studied a little at Le Cordon Bleu from Paris and she became a chef and she moved back to USA. She worked at some Los Angeles restaurants as a profes
sional chef. Later she was contacted by the Food Network and got in 2002 her chance to write in the magazine Food & Wine Magazine.
In 2003 she got her own show "Everday Italian" on Food Network.
Later in October 2006 she hosted "Behind the Bash". In January 2007 she hosted the show "Giada's Weekend Getaways".

Giada published her first cooking book "Everyday Italian: 125 Simple and Delicious Recipes" in 2005, and in the next year she published her second book "Giada's Family Dinners". And in 2007 she published another book "Everyday Pasta" and on September 2008 he latest cook-book "Giada's Kitchen: New Italian Favorites".
