Gerald R Ford spent his childhood in Grand Rapids. He was fond of football and with the completion of Low degree also took part in football as a player from Michigan University team. After this energetic period of his life he went to Yale and offered his services as assistant coach of football.
Gerald R Ford was given the rank of lieutenant during world war and at the end started his career as lawyer. He also showed his interest in politics and in 1948 he got married to Elizabeth Bloomer before few weeks his election to congress. They had 4 children.
