Biography and Career :
His father is from Cyprus and decided to immigrate to the United Kingdom. He has become a singer and songwriter and during the years has won two Grammy Awards.
In 1987 he released his debut solo album, "Faith". Besides this album he released another three studio albums and many compilations and live albums. Some of his number-one singles are "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go", "Careless Whisper", "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)", "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me", "Freedom" and "Fastlove".
He won the American Music Awards for Favourite Male Vocalist and Favourite Album, Brit Awards for Best British Male and
Album, MTV Europe Awards for Best Male and many others. During the years he sang duets with famous artists like Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Toby Bourke, Mary J. Blige and Whitney Houston.
