George Lucas (full name George Walton Lucas, Jr.) was born on May 14, 1944 in Modesto, California, USA. He is a famous film director, producer and screenwriter. He is mostly known as the creator of the epic Star Wars saga and the archaeologist-adventurer character Indiana Jones.

Biography and Career :

His parents' names are George Walton Lucas, Sr. and Dorothy Ellinore Bomberger Lucas. He studied at the USC's school of cinema and graduated in 1982.

The epic Star Wars saga and Indiana Jones films made him a famous person in the movie industry. Now (2007) he is an independent director and producer with a big fortune. He donates money every year to charity organizations and he even has his own foundation called The George Lucas Educational Foundation, which was founded in 1991 .

On February 22, 1969 he married Marcia Lucas. They divorced in 1983. He had adopted three children: Amanda Lucas who was born in 1981, Katie Lucas who was born in 1988 and Jett Lucas who was born in 1993. Linda Ronstadt and he had a long term relationship.

He is the winner of the American Film Institute's Life Time Achievement Award. With all his talent, intelligence, imagination and hard work he has developed a successful and brilliant career and now he is well known in every corner of the world. He has many fans who are eager to see his new movies.
