George Brown, Baron George-Brown (1914-1985) was a British Labour politician.

Short Biography:

He entered Parliament in 1945, was briefly minister of works in 1951, and contested the leadership of the party on the death of Gaitskell, but was defeated by Harold Wilson.

He was secretary for economic affairs 1964-1966 and foreign secretary 1966-1968. He was created a life peer in 1970.
