G. E. Moore George Edward Moore (1873-1958) was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, he was professor of philosophy at the university (1925-1939), and edited the journal Mind, to which he contributed (1921-1947).

Short Biography:

His books include Principia Ethica in 1903, in which he attempted to analyse the moral question "What is good?", and Some Main Problems of Philosophy in 1953, but his chief influence was as a teacher.
