Franklin Delano played leading role during a time of worldwide economic crisis and world war. The only American president elected to more than two terms. Roosevelt won his first of four presidential elections in 1932, while the United States was in the depths of the Great Depression. FDR's combination of optimism and economic activism is often credited with keeping the country's economic crisis from developing into a political crisis. He led the United States through most of World War II, and died on April 12, 1945, in office of a cerebral hemorrhage sho
rtly before the war ended.
His political career is full of achievements. In the State election of 1910, Roosevelt was elected as Senator. In 1913 he was appointed Assistant Secretary of Navy by Woodrow Wilson, in 1920 he was nominated for Vice President but was not elected, he remained Governor of New York from 1929 to 1932. In 1933 he was elected as President for first time and he completed his term from 1933 to 1937 and in 1937 he was re-elected as President for four years. In 1941 he was elected for third term and this shows his fame in the US peoples. In 1945 he was re-elected for fourth term and the same year he was died due to cerebral hemorrhage in his office.
In all of his four terms Presidency period he was a humble, honorable and brave president United States can ever found. When he was elected for the first time, US economy was not too good and he tackled with economy very well. He also focused on foreign policy and opened new directions in policy. His planning was very good during the world war.
