Franklin Pierce was born on Saturday, November 24, 1804 in Hillsborough, New Hampshire, USA. He was the 14th President of the United States.
Biography and Career:
Franklin Pierce admission in Bowdoin College and after the completion of graduation, he took keen interest in studying law and politics. When he was 24, he was elected to Hampshire legislature and because of talent become its speaker very soon. In 1830 he went to Washington as a representatives in the beginning and then as senator.
Because of great contribution in the Max war, he was appointed as candidate for president nomination in 1852 by New Hampshire friends.
As the Democrats were more firm to the 1850 compromise as compare to Whigs and the Whig candidate general was identified as suspect, so pierce won th
e nomination by a little margin.
He began the career of presidency with a great shock and mental disturbance because his 11 years old son was killed in Train wreckage.
On the inauguration ceremony, he presented his agenda which included an era of place and prosperity and good relations with neighboring nations. He said that there will be no compromise over the security integration of U.S.
Northerners accused him that he was trying to prevailed slavery in other areas. The most dangerous and sensitive stormed stemmed from the Kansas-Nebraska act.
When his administration came to an end, he could claim "a peaceful condition in Kansas" but it was a great frustration for him because Democrats were not willing to nominate him again.
Franklin Pierce was the 14th president of U.S and served for about 1853 to 1857 and he was the only President from New Hampshire. This great man was died on 8 October in 1869.
