Florin Lovin was born on February 11, 1982 in Piatra-Neamt, Romania. He is a famous Romanian football player.

Biography and Career :

He started playing football at Rafinaria Darmanesti in C Division. In 2001 he signed with FCM Bacau and started his professional career. His first official game in Liga 1 (first Romanian League) was in fact his only game in his first season at FCM Bacau and was against FC National Bucharest. Unfortunately his team lost with 2-1. He played for FCM Bacau another three seasons in 49 games and succeeded to score once. In 2004 he and Baciu were bought by Steaua Bucharest.

His first season for Steaua was very good because they won the champion title although he wasn't titular ver y often. He played in 11 games and scored once. In the next season Lovin became one of the basic players for the midfield for Steaua Bucharest because the titular in his place, Mirel Radoi, suffered an injury which kept him out of the field for a few weeks. In the next season, 2005-2006, Florin Lovin succeeded again to win the champion title with Steaua Bucharest. He played in 23 games and succeeded to score again one goal.

In the European Cups he played with Steaua Bucharest in 22 games, but didn't strike at all. First time he played in UEFA Cup in the season 2004-2005 and that was a very good season for his team because after they passed from a group with Standard Liege, Besiktas Istanbul, Sampdoria and Athletic Bilbao, they succeeded to eliminate in 1/16 final Valencia, the ex-winner of UEFA Cup. Unfortunately they were eliminated in 1/8 finals by Villareal.

In the next season 2005-2006 after they were eliminated in qualifiers for UEFA Champions League by Rosenborg they played again in UEFA Cup groups and had again great results. They defeated teams like Lens, Heerenven, Betis Sevilla and Rapid Bucharest in ¼ final, their traditional Romanian rival. Steaua played the semifinal but unfortunately lost against Middlebrough after two dramatic games.
In the season 2006-2007 Steaua Bucharest with Florin Lovin as titular succeeded to qualify in UEFA Champion League groups, in a group with Real Madrid, Olempique Lyon and Dynamo Kiev.
