Federico Russo is an actor. He was born in 1985 Florence, Italy. He was raised along with his younger brother Francesco. As a child, Federico played soccer for nine years. During his teenage years he formed a band called "Scrabbles" with his school mates and was a singer in it. This band performed at parties. In 1999 he graduated from Senior High School "Liceo Classico Dante". Later he went on to study law at the University of Florence. In 2001 he started working as a speaker for Florence area radio stations Lady Radio and Radio Sieve.

Why is he famous?

Federico became famous in 2002, when he made his breakthrough as a singer. He was selected as one of the 16 final contestants to participate in the reality show "Operazione Trionfo", the Italian equivalent to "Operaci on triunfo" (2001). After the show finished, Federico recorded an album titled "Canteri² per te" which was then released in Italy by Sony Music.
He is also known for his work as a VJ for Mtv Italy,having hosted various shows such as Hit List Italia and the highly popular "TRL Italy" (1999).
