Biography and Career:
Faith Evans was born on June 10, 1973 in Lakeland, Florida, USA. She is of biracial ethnicity; her mother's black and her father's white. She was a famous American singer-songwriter, record producer, actress and author.
She was raised in New Jersey by her mother and grandparents. She began to develop her vocal talents in the church choir. Her work impressed the interest of Sean Puff Daddy Combb. He made her the first
female signing to his Bad Boy label and produce her 1995 eponymous debut.
She married fellow Bad Boy recording artist Christopher "Notorious B.I.G. In early 2000s, she founded her own production company, Pedigree MGI, with second husband Todd Russa and released third album. It earned her two grammy nominations and restored good name to her career.
Following a longer hiatus, Evans signed a deal with E1 Entertainment in 2010. The company along with Evans and Ten2One Entertainment will produce a reality series named "It's All About Faith" chronicling her life and the recording of her sixth studio album, which is said to involve production by Jazze Pha, Easy Mo Bee and David Banner and others.
She is also an avocational acress and writer, Evans made her big screen debut in the 2000 musical drama "Turn It Up" by "Robert Adetuyl". Her autobiography "Keep the Faith: A Memoir" won a 2009 African American Literary Award for the Best Biography/Memoir category.
