Ewan McGregor (full name Ewan Gordon McGregor) was born on Wednesday, March 31, 1971 in Crieff, Scotland and he is a famous actor.

Biography and Career:

His success comes primarily from two genres of films, art house and indie. His best roles he had until now are in Trainspotting, Star Wars, Moulin Rouge!, Long Way Round and Long Way Down. His film career is not the only one he has, Ewan is also into theatre and television.

He was raised in Crieff, Scotland and attended the classes of Morrison's Academy. Both of his parents, Carol Diane and James Charles Stuart McGregor are teachers. He also studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and had his first leading role even before graduating.

1993 was the year when he really entered the film world with a role in "Being H uman". One year later he managed to win his first Empire Award for his contribution in the movie "Shallow Grave".

Since his breakthrough with "Trainspotting", Ewan has been featured in many successful Hollywood movies and we are sure that his talent will help him get many more leading roles.
