Evan Dando was born on Saturday, March 04, 1967 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He is an American Musician famous for fronting the alternative rock band "The Lemonheads".

Biography and Career:

Evan Dando was born and brought in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. He is the son of a fashion model and a real estate attorney. When he was young, he was influenced by '80s punk outfits as Hi¼sker Di¼ and The Replacements. He went to Commonwealth School, in Boston. Dando and registered at Skidmore College, but he could not sustain his grades and so dropped out to take up a career as a musician.

Along with school friend Ben Deily, he formed The Lemonheads at the Commonwealth School in Boston circa 1986. At this st age they played punk rock, and were known as the Whelps, until the groups name changed in 1987 to Lemonheads.

Their first recording as a group was "Laughing All the Way to the Cleaners". After being signed by local label Taang! The Lemonheads released the albums Hate Your Friends, Creator, and Lick with deily and he shared lead vocals and songwriting duties until about 1989, when he left the band.

Because of the attraction of a European tour and moderate success of the solo "Luka" he was brought back on tour with the Lemonheads, where night after night he constantly played the guitar riff of "Sweet Child o' Mine" during Deily's songs. The connection had broken down, and Deily left. He then recruited David Ryan on drums, and was signed to major label Atlantic/Warner, and produced the album Lovey in 1990.

In 1996, he gathered a new band, still called the Lemonheads, featuring old friends John Strohm and Murph. This band produced another Lemonheads album, Car Button Cloth. While playing jangly guitar songs such as "If I Could Talk I'd Tell You," this set also showed off the darker side of his writing: "Break Me" and "Losing Your Mind."
