Career:
Enrique was born on May 8th, 1975 to Julio Iglesias a multi-million dollar singer and Isabel Preysler, a socialite. After his parents divorce in 1978, Enrique moved in with his father in Miami, Florida. Enrique attended Gulliver Preparatory School and went to attend University of Miami to study business.
Enrique’s career began in 1995 with his first album “Enrique Iglesias” which included hits like "Si Tú Te Vas", "Experiencia Religiosa", and others. This album got Enrique his first Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Performance.
In 1997, Enrique’s second album was released “Vivir”. Iglesias was nomina
ted for American Music Award for this album competing against his father; however his father won the award.
In 1998, came his third album “Cosas Del Amor”, his many singles from this album made it to the top of Latin Music Charts and secured his position as sensational and promising Latin singer.
Enrique’s first hit in English language singing came in 1999 with the single “Bailamos” which became the number one hit in U.S. Seeing his success he released his first CD of English songs “Enrique” which was a hit.
In 2001, came his fourth album “Escape” and was his biggest commercial success till today. It contained hits like “Hero”, “Escape” and more. 2002 saw his yet another Spanish album “Quizas” It went up to number 12 on the Billboard’s charts, which is quite an achievement for a Spanish artist.
The year 2003 marked his biggest ever world tour till date along with the release of his Seventh album “7”.
In 2007 came his album “Insomniac”. This album included Enrique’s highest charting song “Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song)”. Other songs in the album were “Sorry”, “Somebody’s Me” and “Tired of Being Sorry”.
And his latest album includes “Euphoria” which is first bilingual album with songs both in English and Spanish.
As far as Enrique’s personnel life is considered he has been known to be dating the famous and gorgeous tennis sensation Anna Kournikova since 2001.
