In 1988, she acted in a prominent role in the movie Frantic, directed by Roman Polanski and starring Harrison Ford. Emmanuelle got married to Roman Polanski in 1989. Emmanuelle appeared in other movies directed by Polanski. They included Bitter Moon (1992) and The Ninth Gate (1999).

007 included The Driving Bell and the Butterfly and La Vie en Rose. The latter movie nominated for as Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Satellite Award.
Emmanuelle had sung for the movie The Driving Bell and the Butterfly. She also lent her musical talents to a documentary she made on her husband Roman Polanski. In 2006, she entered the French music group Ultra Orange and they formed a new band named Ultra Orange & Emmanuelle. In 2007, they released their debut album "Ultra Orange & Emmanuelle".
