Emil Boc was born on August 6, 1966 in Rachitele, Cluj, Romania. He is a famous Romanian politician.

Biography and Career :

Emil Boc studied socio-psychology sciences having a scholar ship at the University in Nottingham between January and July 1992 .

He was a visiting scholar at the University in Pittsburg, U.S.A. (politic sciences) between February and July 1994.

Emil Boc was also a visiting scholar at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, U.S.A. (politic sciences and public administration) between January and April 1996.

He received the Tempus scholarship, studying at Universte Libre de Bruxelles between February and March 1997.

Emil Boc was a visiting scholar at the Michigan State University, East Lancing, in the "Michigan Political Leadership "and "Tr ansylvania Political Leadership Program" between February and March 1998.

He received again the Tempus scholarship at Universite Libre de Bruxelles between April and May 1999 .

Emil Boc was a teacher at "Gheorghe Lazar" school in Cluj-Napoca (1991-1993) and assistant at the Law Faculty and at the Faculty of Politic and Administrative (1994-1997). At present he is a lecturer at the Faculty of Politic Sciences and Public Administration, at the Law Faculty and at the "Babes-Bolyai" University in Cluj-Napoca.

In 2004 he was elected mayor of Cluj-Napoca. Since July 2005 he is the president of the Democrat Party.

He received Grant Awards for his 2 projects:
