Elizabeth Vargas was born on September 6, 1962 in Paterson, New Jersey, USA. She is a journalist and anchor.
Biography and Career :
She went to University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, USA and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in journalism.
At first she was a reporter-anchor for KOMU-TV, after to ABC World News Tonight, 20/20" and ABC News specials. In 1999 she won an Emmy Award and next year she was nominated at the same awards. Some of the subjects she wrote about are the breast cancer research, PETA's war against fur and the role of Mary Magdalene in 'The Da Vinci Code'.
On July 20, 2002 she married Marc Cohn and they have two children, Zachary Raphael Cohn and Samuel Wyatt Cohn. In 2005 she almost lost him after an attempted carjacking when he was shot in the
head.
