Elena Udrea (full name Elena Gabriela Udrea) was born on December 12, 1973 in Buzau, Romania. She is a political and business woman.
Biography and Career :
Elena Udrea started her studies at a primary school from her neighborhood in Buzau and after that she graduated "Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu High-School" in 1992.
Elena comes from a modest family. Her father was a driver and her mother was cashier. She has a brother named Adrian Udrea.
She always wanted to do something in life, to become an important person.
In 1992 she went to the "Dimitrie Cantemir University" and graduated in 1996.
Elena Udrea won her first money in the first year of Collage at the Bucharest International Market.
After she graduated the college she practiced law and started winning money.
Elena had many important cases and clients.
She met Dorin Cocos (a well known business man in Romania) in 1997 and they got married.
In 2002 she entered in politics as a member of the PNL Party. After Traian Basescu
won the elections in 2004 and became the president of Romania, Elena Udrea was chosen the president of the Juridical and Discipline Committee.
In February 2005 she was elected state counselor in the Presidential Administration and chief of the Presidential Office.
In October Elena decided to resign the functions she had because the press involved her husband in a scandal and affected her image and also quit from PNL.
Elena decided to enter the PD Party because she wanted to be in the politics again. She had chosen that party because they respected Traian Basescu's projects.
She says it was very hard for her to get where she is because people have many prejudices about beautiful women, and if they are blondes it is also tragically.
Elena isn't feminist and says she couldn't accept a world without men, but they ignore what women are doing and it's hard for them to achieve their goals.
