Donald Kerr (full name Donald MacLean Kerr, Jr.) was born in 1939. He is the Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence.
Biography and Career:
He joined the U.S. Senate on 4th October 2007. In July 2005 he was sworn as the Director of the National Reconnaissance Office by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte. From 2001 to 2005 he was the Deputy Director of Science and Technology at the Central Intelligence agency before he took up his position at the NRO and he was also the Director of the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
On July 11th 2007 he was nominated as the Principal Deputy of National Intelligence by President George W.Bush. He did his education at Cornell University. In 1963 he completed his BSEE, MS in Microwave Electronics in 1964 and Ph.D. in Plasma physics in 1966.
