Dinara Safina was born on April 27, 1986 in Moscow, Russia. She is a talented tennis player along with her brother Marat Safin.
Biography and Career :
She is a good young tennis player. Her brother, Marat Safin, was the World's Number One. In 2002 she became a professional player and since then she is training hard to become a great champion.
* Even though she still doesn't have any Grand Slam title, she played two quarter-finals in 2006: one at Australian Open and one at US Open, where she lost to Amelie Mauresmo.
* She managed to get into the third round at Wimbledon in 2005 and 2006 and Australian Open in 2004 and 2007.
* Between 2002 and 2007 she won tournaments at Sopot, Palermo, Paris, Prague and Gold Coast.
* In 2007 she played the final at Charle
ston against Jelena Jankovic, but unfortunately she lost. She also played finals at Hertogenbosch, Rome and Luxembourg and lost to Michaella Krajicek, Martina Hingis and Alicia Molik.
As a doubles player she has done a lot and during her career she won eight titles. She is a hard-worker person who, undoubtedly, loves tennis and will win important titles based on her talent.
On May 14, 2007 she reached her career's high ranking and was situated on the 9th place of the Top 100. We wish her luck and hope she will become a champion in the next years.
