Devon Werkheiser was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He was brought up in Johns Creek, Georgia. He went to the Talent Factory which was a local children's acting program. After appearing in a small role in We Were Soldiers he moved to Los Angeles with his mother to pursue his acting career.
Later he went to Hollywood and appeared in several television shows and films. His most famous role was in Neds Declassified School Survival Guide. He played the role of Ned Bigby. He also starred in two upcoming movies named Love at First Hiccup and The Prankster. Both the movies will also feature his music.He is also active in se
veral charities, most notably the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation.
He signed with Universal Records for his first music album, which is expected to be released in 2010. His album will be a combination of rock and pop music and will feature him singing and playing the guitar.
Werkheiser has requested that he be able to co-write the lyrics and music of all of his songs, and he has been working with various artists like Tim Myers, Wally Gagel, Eddie Galan, and Charlie Midnight for the lyrics of his songs.
He performed live shows with female vocalists Kristen Marie Hollyin and Britney Christian. Werkheiser plans to go on live tours worldwide after the release of the album.
