Devon Murray was born in County Kildare, Ireland. He is the son of Michael and Fidelma Murray. Murray joined the Billie Barry stage school after he sang in a few talent competitions in Ireland and won. After graduation from Bill Barry Stage School he went to The National Performing Arts stage school. He appeared in various films and gained strength and popularity. With experience his his abilities developed and matured.
He started his acting career when he starred the film This Is My Father for the first time. After a role in this film he opened the door to opportunities on the big screen. Murray appeared in Yesterday's Children which
was directed by Angela Ashes. His appearance in this film made him more popular and increased his worldwide recognition. Later he also played the role of Seamus Finnigan in the a few famous movies of the Harry Potter series.
Murray is an accomplished horseback-rider and has competed in a number of tournaments throughout his country, Ireland and has won several medals in various tournamnets. Murray relaxes doing horseback-riding, skateboarding, quad biking and spending time out with friends. He also enjoys dance, rap and Irish music like Christy Moore. He has been confirmed to reprise his role as Seamus Finnigan for the two parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
