Denyce Lawton was born May 2, 1978. She is a model and actress.
Denyce Lawton was born is Seoul, South Korea. She has three siblings. She lived in various countries before her family moved to the US. She lived with her family in Neptune, New Jersey then in Washington D.C. She graduated from Largo High School, Largo in 1996. She went to high school with R&B singer Mya Harrison. Lawton has been involved with actor Wesley Jonathan.
Lawton was offered an assistant Vice President position at Warner Bros in the year 1998. Records She was also an Assistant Junior Publicist at 20th Century Fox Films. Lawton participated in several Theatrical Plays as well as the famous Shakespeare In The Park Company. She
began modeling for Kemi Oil, FUBU, ADIDAS, Enyce, Karl Kani and Baby Phat. While pursuing her acting and modeling career, she also appeared in several Hip Hop/R&B music videos; "Rock Star" by N.E.R.D, "Peaches & Cream" by 112, "One Mic" by Nas, "Anything" by Jaheim, and "Want It, Need It" by Plies.
Lawton say these video appearances were to accumulate enough camera experience and money to fund her acting pursuits before she decided to move to Los Angeles, California in December 2001. Some other films she starred in are Soul Plane, Go for Broke, and It Ain't Easy. Denyce has also appeared in television shows such as Entourage, Scratch & Burn, Half & Half and The Parkers.
Lawton is currently a series regular on Tyler Perry's House of Payne, where she plays the character Dana the manicurist in the barber shop.
