Dennis Morgan was born on December 20, 1908. He was an American actor and singer.
Dennis Morgan was born in small burg of Prentice on 20th December 1908. He was popularly known by his stage name. He studied at Carroll College. He worked with stock companies and worked as a radio announcer. He sang with travelling opera troupes. He signed a contract with MGM in 1936 and spent a not so good year while playing small parts. After MGM he moved to Paramount pictures and played supporting roles under his moniker Richard Stanley.
He went to Warner Bros. in 1939 where he changed to his stage name Dennis Morgan. The roles he got at Warner Bros. were better than what he did in MGM or Paramount. He appea
red in Kitty Foyle in 1940 which was produced by RKO. He got his first complete singing lead in The Desert Song by Warner Bros. After this he appeared and produced a number of musicals and had a big fan list. He started to appear in a group of musical comedies in 1947. The best of all was Two Guys From Milwaukee. He appeared in western and adventure yarns in 1950s when the type of musicals he did went out of fashion. He played the role in a television cop series in 1959. This role made headlines and got him a lot of popularity.
He retired from the industry in 1960s but he appeared in two more television series in 1968 and 1976. Morgan has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He died on September 7, 1944.
