Denise Darcel was born on September 8, 1952. She is a retired French actress.
Denise Darcel was born in Paris. She studied in Paris till college. She was there during the WWII and was a witness of the VJ celebrations. She worked as a cabaret singer in Paris after the war. She moved to U.S. in 1947 and became a U.S. citizen in 1952. She also started working in the Hollywood movies when she moved to U.S. in 1947.
Darcel appeared in her first Hollywood film in 1949. She was the only adult female in the film. The film was named Battleground. Darcel also appeared in the musical Pardon Our French in 1950. She appeared on Broadway. She did many more films. She did some small roles
and also had some lead actress roles in a few of her movies.
She appeared in a lot of movies. A few of her famous movies in which she starred are Tarzan and the Slave Girl in 1950, the movie Westward the Women in 1952 and also Young Man with Ideas in the same year.
She also appeared in a swimming musical in 1953. The musical was named Dangerous When Wet. She got most success from the film Verz Cruz in 1954. She had the female lead role in this film. Her last film was Seven Women from Hell which was produced and released in 1961.
After her last film she returned to the cabaret industry and made a few guest appearances on television. She appeared in 1995 in Houston and Seattle. She got married and divorced three times.
