Biography and Career:
Denis was born to John Leary and Nora, an auto mechanic and a maid both Irish Catholic immigrants from Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. He attended Saint Peter-Marian High School, in Worcester and managed to graduate, the he moved on to Emerson College, in Boston from where he graduated in 1979. After he got a job at the same school's teaching comedy writing classes and did it for five years.
His career as a performer started in an underground club in Boston called ""Play It Again Sam" where he had his own comedy show. At the
same time he also appeared in a local Boston television show called "Lenny Clarke's Late Show".
Although Denis stated that he is a stand-up comedian and he likes doing it very much, he appeared in many movies as a normal actor. The Sandlot, Monument Ave., The Matchmaker, The Ref, Suicide Kings, Dawg, Wag the Dog, Demolition Man, The Thomas Crown Affair and Operation Dumbo Drop are some of them.
