Debra Paget was born in Denver, Colorado on 19th August, 1933. She is popularly known by her stage name. She moved with her family to Los Angeles in 1930s to move close to the developing film industry.
She got her first job when she was just 8 years old. Paget appeared in stage in 1946 when she was just 13 years old. She played a role in the play Merry Wives of Windsor. During 1950 to 1956 she also took part in six radio plays. Her first role in a film was in 1948 in a film named Cry of the City which was directed by Robert Siodmak. She acted as the girlfriend of the lead character in the film.
She played some roles in three other films and got a contract by 20th Century Fox. She p
layed the role of Indian Maiden in a movie named Broken Arrow which was a big success. She also appeared in the movie White Feather in 1955 where she got the role of an Indian actress. She appeared in a few more films afterwards with different stars.
In 1955 she appeared as Lilia in the film Ten Commandments which was produced by Paramount pictures. She starred in a movie named White Feather in 1955 which was not a Fox Film so the production company ended her contract. After that career began to decline as she wasn't given many major roles. She appeared in a few films which were shot in Italy. Her last film was a horror film named The Horror Palace in 1963.
She appeared in a lot of television dramas and comedy shows. She retired in 1965 but she still makes some guest appearances occasionally.
