Dax Shepard was born in Milford, Michigan on January 2, 1975. He studied at Muir Middle School and Walled Lake City Central High School and then went to Groundlings school. He graduated from UCLA with a degree of Anthropology.
Shepard started his career with small roles but he got first proper reputation when he starred in the television series Punk'd. This was not Shepard's first starring on television but this role got him recognition needed to build his career further on television and movies. He was soon starred in three major films that were to be released shortly.
He played a small role in his first film in 1998 which w
as a comedy named, Hairshirt. Shepard also starred in another comedy movie named Without a Paddle. He was paired with Seth Green and Mathew Lillard. He also appeared in many small roles in movies like Sledge.
