David Nelson was born on October 24, 1936. He is an American actor, director and a producer.
He is the son of Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard. His father was a television actor and his mother was a singer. He is the elder brother of late singer Ricky Nelson. David studied at Hollywood High School. He with his parents starred in the television series, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet in 1950s and 1960s. Nelson directed a few episodes of the series.
After the end of the series Nelson continued his direction and kept producing television series and films along with acting in a few him self.
He acted in many other films like Here Come the Nelsons in 1952, Peyton Place in 1957, The Big Ci
rcus in 1959 and many more. He acted the last time in 1990 in the film named Cry Baby. He directed some films like Childish Things in 1969, Easy to be Free in 1973. Nelson also worked as a producer for some films like Ozzie's Girls in 1973 and Easy to be Free in 1973 also.
Nelson got married June Blair and they had two sons. The sons are Daniel Nelson who was born on 20th August 1962 and Eric Nelson who was born on 8th June 1966. They divorced in 1975. After his divorce Nelson remarried in the same year, 1975. He got married to Yvonne O'Connor Huston and adopted her three children, two sons and one daughter. Nelson is a member of the Kappa Sigma Faternity.
