Darius Mllaud (1892-1974) was a French composer, a member of the group of composers known as Les Six.
Short Biography:
Among his works are the operas Christophe Colombe (1928) and Bolivar (1943), and the jazz ballet La Creation du monde (1923). He lived in both France and the US.
He collaborated on ballets with Paul Claudel. Much of his later work - which includes chamber, orchestral, and choral music - is polytonal.
