Dane Cook (full name Dane Jeffrey Cook) was born on Saturday, March 18, 1972 in Boston, Massachusetts and is a famous comedian and actor.

Biography and Career:

Dane received the Platinum award two times for one of his comedy albums, Retaliation. He has released a total of four albums in his career as comedian. As an actor, Cook has made his appearance in more than 10 movies since 1997 and numerous television series and shows.

His most important roles are in Mr. Brooks, Employee of the Month, Good Luck Chuck, Dan in Real Life and his most recent appearance, My Best Friend's Girl.

Dane spent his childhood with his familly in Arlington, Massachusetts. His father, George Cook had more than one jobs and his mother, Donna Cook a homemaker. He has another 6 siblings.

He prim arily studied at the Arlington High School where his love for comedy started to kick in. This happend after his father gave him a tape recorder and a microphone.

After his graduation Dane managed to get the attention of major comedians like Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, Steven Wright and Bob Newhart. He firstly had a troupe composed of four members but it was disbanded after four years.

His breakthrough came when he appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend in 1998 and since then he started releasing successful comedy albums. He is now well known all over the world.

His first appearance as a film actor was with the leading role in "Employee of the Month", a very successful movie.
