Craig Ferguson was born on 17 May 1962 in Glashow, Scotland. He is a well-known Scottish–American television host, writer, stand-up comedian, director, actor, author, and producer.
Biography and Career:
Craig Ferguson is the host of the popular The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, an Peabody Award-winning and Emmy Award-nominated, late-night talk show that airs on CBS.
In addition to hosting The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, he has written two books: American on Purpose (autobiography) and Between the Bridge and the River (novel).
Ferguson was born in a hospital in the Springburn district of Glasgow, Scortand, but his family moved when he was six months old. They relocated to a council house in Cumbernauld where Ferguson later attended Muirfield Primary School
and Cumbernauld High School.
He first visited America as a teenager who visits an uncle who lived on Lon Island, near New York City. In 1983 Ferguson moved to New York City where he took a job in construction in the infamous Harlem district. Later he became a bouncer at a nightclub, Save the Robots.
In 1994, Ferguson moved to Los Angeles where he appeared in his first U.S entertainment role, as a baker Logan McDonough in the short-lived ABC comedy Maybe This Time.
However, a huge opportunity emerged for Ferguson when he was cast on The Drew Carey Show as Mr. Wick, Drew Carey’s boss, a role Craig played between 1996 and 2003.
During the same period, Ferguson devoted some of his time to writing. He wrote the script for three movies: Saving Grace, The Big Tease and I'll Be There. All three were well received by film critics and viewers. Craig Ferguson was named Best New Director at the Napa Valley Film Festival.
As for his acting career, we will mention only some of his most important appearances: Niagara Motel, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Lenny the Wonder Dog, Born Romantic, The Ugly Truth, Chain of Fools, How to Train Your Dragon, Kick-Ass and Winnie the Pooh.
