
Christopher Walken (birth name Ronald Walken) was born on March 31, 1943 in Queens,
New York, USA. He is a famous American actor.
Biography and Career :
One of the three children in his family, he was the image of calendar when he was only 14 months old. Later on, when he was 10, he started taking dancing classes and he showed up in radio shows and in the sitcom "The Wonderful film Action".
Years later, Christopher joined New York's Professional Children's School. In 1961 he entered Hofstra University. One year later he decided to leave school as he joined
Liza Minnelli in "Broadway Foot Forward". In 1965 he decided to change his nam
e into Christopher Walken. One year before the star acted in many music-halls. That time he met Monique Van Vooren to whom he got married in 1969.
He keeps on showing on the stage of Broadway. He made his debut in cinema in 1968 in "Me and My Brother". The critics noticed him in 1972 in "Next Stop Greenwich Village". The greatest success of Christopher Walken came in 1978 in "The Deer Hunter". He was awarded with an Oscar for The Best Male Actor in a minor part.
