Cheeky Girls is a girl band formed of two sisters, Gabriella Irimia and Monica Irimia.

Biography and Career :

Gabriella and Monica were born on October 31, in Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, Romania. Gabi is ten minutes older than Monica. Doru Irimia, their father, is a doctor and their mother was a nurse.

When they were little they took ballet and gymnastic classes. They became popular after moving to United Kingdom and releasing the single "We're The Cheeky Girls".

They appeared on Popstars: The Rivals, a show in the UK, and their song "The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)" reached number two in charts. Their mother is the one who writes the songs and she is also the manager of the band.

Some say the girls were the worst act ever on Popstars: The Rivals. They had a contract wi th Multiply, but the company went into liquidation in 2004 and they founded their own record company.

In 2007 they are promising to release the album 'In My Mind (Is A Different World - A Cheeky One)'. Lembit Opik, the Liberal Democrat MP, is having a relationship with Gabriela, after he broke up with the weather presenter Sian Lloyd.

Some of the girls' singles are: "Take Your Shoes Off", "Have a Cheeky Christmas" or "Boys and Girls (Xmas Time Love)".
