Charlotte Gainsbourg (birth name Charlotte Lucy Gainsbourg) was born on July 21, 1971 in London, England, UK. She is an actress.

Biography and Career :

She spent her childhood in Paris, France and her parents are Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin. In 1984 she played one of her first roles in "Paroles et musique" where she was Catherine Deneuve's daughter. Then her musical debut was in “Lemon Incest” along her father.

After appearing in "L'effrontee" she won a Cesar Award for "Most Promising Actress". This was happening in 1986. After four years she was the winner of "Best Supporting Actress" for the film "La Buche".

In 1994 she played in "Oleanna" at the Theatre de la Gaite-Montparnasse. Meantime she released two albums and sang the title song in three of her films.

Sh e married Yvan Attal and they have two children: Ben who was born in 1997 and Alice who was born in 2002. In 2001 she was elected member of jury at the Cannes Film Festival. She proved that she is a talented actress and we wish her a successful career many years from now on.
