He is the son of the actor Martin Sheen and Janet Templeton. Charlie Sheen showed interest in film since he was little and made movies together with his friends Rob Lowe and Sean Penn. After graduating he decided to be an actor, as well as his brother or his father.
His first part was at the age of 9, in "The Executive of Private Slovik". In 1984 he started his real career with "Red Dawn". In 1987 he broke all the tops with "Platoon". Other successes followed the years after: "Wall Street" (1987), "Major League" (1989), "Hot Shots".
