Charles Grey

Charles Grey Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey (1764-1845) was a British Whig politician.

Short Biography:

He entered Parliament in 1786, and in 1806 became First Lord of the Admiralty, and foreign secretary soon afterwards.

As prime minister (1830-1834), he carried the Great Reform Bill (1832), and the Act abolishing slavery throughout the British Empire in 1833.

Charles Grey was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1830 to 1834.
