Chantal Kreviazuk (birth name Chantal Thelma-Ramupriya Kreviazuk) was born on May 18, 1974 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She is a singer, songwriter, actress and producer.
Biography and Career :
In 1996 she released her debut album called "Under These Rocks and Stones" in Canada. After one year it was also released in the United States. The album turned out to be a success and her singles "Surrounded" and "God Made Me" wrer listened in every house.
The second album, "Colour Moving and Still", was released in 1999. After this album, another two were released: "What If It All Means Something" and "Ghost Stories".
On December 19, 1999 she married Raine Maida. Now (2007) the couple has two children: Rowan Michael and Lucca. The couple met at a Pearl Jam concert. She has a s
ong, "Before You ", written for her lovely husband.
In 2000 she was awarded with two Junos for Female Vocalist of the year and for best Pop/Alternative Album, "Colour Moving and Still". Amongst he favorite artists are Sinead O'Connor, Travis, Blondie, Mariah Carey and Sean Paul and her music style has influences from all of them.
She is working on other projects too and she was the writer and producer of "Pretty Broken" in 2006. We wish her good luck and hope to enjoy her voice many years from now.
