Biography and Career:
Cesc Fabregas (full name Francesc Fabregas Soler) was born on May 4, 1987, in Casal de Curacion, Spain. His father played third football division and had been on a trial for Barcelona.
Cesc's first big step towards a career in football came when he was chosen to take part in the youth program of Barcelona. He was only in his middle teenage but didn't fail to make an impression. He played as a defender in the team "B" but had proved to be good in offence also.
Though prominent players of the junior teams get chance to play in the first team, Fabregas was in a long queue before he could eventually get to the first team of Barcelona. So he wanted to play in a first team elsewhere and was soon picked up by Arsenal.

gue club, Fabregas had represented his country first time in the FIFA Under 17 World Cup in 2003. He became the top scorer in the competition and was one of the main forces behind driving his team to the finals. His performance gave him a slot in the national team of Spain and soon became the youngest player to represent Spain at the World Cup.
Fabregas debuted for Arsenal during a League Cup match against Rotherham United. Later, in the League Cup, he scored his first goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers in a match where his team crushed Wolverhampton for a 5-1 victory. Fabregas became the youngest goal scorer for Arsenal.
His flair was noticed in 2005 when Patrick Vieira was out of the squad due to an injury. So, Fabregas was put on the field and he gave a consistent performance. He also added to the score of the FA Cup final that year as Arsenal defeated Manchester United in penalties.
During the next season, Fabregas got chance to play in a key position as Vieira had left Arsenal for Juventus. He had reached the stage of a key player in the 2005-06 seasons and helped Arsenal to reach the UEFA Champions League final.
The next season proved to be highly fruitful for Fabregas.
Arsenal signed him up for an eight year contract and he soon became on of the top players in the team. He received the Bravo Award and was chosen as the best player of the season for Arsenal. That season he scored 5 goals in the English Premier League. His performance also earned him the title of Young Player of the year from Pro Football Association. He was also made part of the PFA Team of the Year.
In the 2008 World Cup, Fabregas mainly played as a substitute player. But he managed to create two assists in a match against Russia which Spain won by 3 goals to nil.
