Catarina Furtado was born on August 25, 1972 in Lisbon, Portugal. She is an actress and a television host.
Biography and Career :
Her parents' names are Helena and Joaquim Furtado. In 1991 she attended CENJOR School, which is a school that forms journalists. Between 1995 and 1997 she studied at the London International School of Acting.
At first when she was very young she wanted to be a ballerina but because her father was involved in the television world she ended as a journalist, television host, reporter and actress. She worked on projects like MTV Portugal, Chuva de Estrelas in 1993, Caca ao Tesouro in 1994 and Uma noite de Sonho in 1995.
On July 7, 2005 she married Joao Reis and the couple has one child, Maria Beatriz. She is the Goodwill Ambassador for the United
Nations representing her country, Portugal.
In June 2005 she received the Ordem de Merito from President Jorge Sampaio and it was a great honor for her. She is a beautiful woman, with a Latin spirit, she is very intelligent and there's no doubt every man would like her as his wife. She has a successful career that will surely last many years from now.
