Biography and Career:
Her parents divorced after 3 weeks after her birth and her mother took her and moved to Prestatyn, North Wales. Her mother remarried to an italian in 1970.
She went to the catholic Blessed Edward Jones High School. And then she went to Sidney Sussex College and then at the University of Cambridge. She graduated in 1978.
She began her career with the pop group Dawn Chours and the Blue Tits. During her music career she was hosting the Peter Levy show on Radio Aire.
But she became famous at age of 21 when she won the constest for hosting the game show Countdown with Richard Whiteley but until 2005 when Richard died. After that sh
e found another co-hosters for the show for another 2 years, then the show was cancelled.
On October 2005 Desmond Lunam replaced Richard and co-hosted the show with Carol. Then in January 2007 he was replaced with Des O'Connor. The show was earning over 1 million $ a year.
On July 2008 the show was cancelled because Vordeman was steeping down hosting the game. Even if Channel 4 was offering her 900.000£ a year she said that the show is not the same sincer Richard's death in 2005.

Between 1987 and 1989 she hostes the BBC series "Take Nobody's Word For It". She also worked for BBC network at "Tomorrow's World" but she dropped out after she got the commericial for Ariel.
