She was a model when she appeared on the cover of Harper's Bazaar Magazine in 1980 and in 1982 in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Thanks to these two events in her life she became famous. In 1986 she started a career as an actress and played in many movies, especially Italian. She wrote a book named "Eating In The Raw: A Beginner's Guide To Getting Slimmer, Feeling Healthier, And Looking Younger the Raw-food Way".Carol Alt was chosen on the fifth on askmen.com's list of "Top 10 Supermodels Of All Time".
Only after one year she married Ron Greschner, who was a professional ice hockey player with the New York Rangers. After 1
