Buddy Lester was born on January 16, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He was a famous actor. He was also a famous stand-up comedian and character actor on television and in motion pictures. As for his apparent looks, he could assume mockingly menacing persona's because of a somewhat mysterious scar to the right of his mouth.
He started his career in the serial, "Dragnet" as Paul Portell for two episodes, "The Big Hype" and "The Big Organizer". He also played a very prolific role as Vince Massler in the movie, "Ocean's Eleven" in 1960, directed by Lewis Milestone and written by George Clayton Johnson and Jack Golden Russell.
His famous movies includes, "Sergeants 3", "Hardly Working", "Fake-Out" and "Smorgasbord" and serials are such as: "The New Dick Van Dyke Show", "Love,
American Style", "Dragnet 1967" and "Petticoat Junction". After a long lasting famous career as a comedian, Buddy died on October 4, 2002 of cancer in a Van Nuys nursing home located in Los Angeles, California.
