Brooks Benedict was born on February 6, 1896 in New York City, New York, United States. He was a famous American actor of early 1900s. He acted in more than 290 movies and started his career in 1923 in the movie, "Cupid's Fireman". He famous movies include, "The Freshman", "Night Class", "Woman Wanted", "Sunset Murder Case" and "Because of Him".
His roles always remained as classical roles, but besides he has also acted in the TV serial, "Four Star Playhouse" aired in 1956. He ended his career with the movie, "Houseboat" and unfortunately died on January 1, 1968 in Houston, Texas, United States.

He was famous for his many roles in movies but his well known role was as Bill Town in the movie, "Picture Brides" directed by Phil Rosen and written by Charles E. Blaney and Harry Clay Blaney.
